Flashback Friday

These are from one of the last games played at the old Busch Stadium. My work payed for us all to go, it was our company picnic, unfortunately it also ended up being our last company picnic too.

We are done with baseball and softball for the season. The boy's team finished in 2nd place and they really enjoyed playing. They are looking forward to next year. Sierra had a great time and learned a lot, she is also looking forward to playing next year and although her team didn't win a single game, she wants to be on the same team next year. They almost won their last game on Wednesday, and they probably would have if the other team hadn't switched pitchers halfway through the last inning. Everyone on her team was new to the sport and they played teams that had been together for years. They had amazing spirit and had showed great sportsmanship. It was not uncommon for them to cheer for players on the opposing team when they did something good. Her team was an inspiration to me. They are an amazing group of girls, and I am glad I got to know them.

Great memories. It's wonderful that the kids are into something that keeps them active. And involves team work. I'm sure they're great players.

Y'all are so red, sitting there in a sea of red. It looks cool. Why was it your last picnic?

Way to go kiddos! And especially Sierra for stickin' to it.

Budgets were cut because they put the company up for sale and now we have been bought out, there is still nothing in the works for this year
