I will survive

Surgery went well yesterday and I am feeling much better today. For those of you who didn't know, I had to have surgery on my left elbow. They had to go in and move my ulnar nerve to the topside of my arm because it was slipping out of the groove that it was supposed to be in and it would get caught on the bone and "pop" off. It was causing a lot of pain and numbness in my arm and hand. I get to go back in 2 weeks and have my right elbow done. I have to admit, I was really not looking forward to any of it, and I definitely am not enjoying this now, but I will be so happy when it is all done and I can go back to normal.

I think Steve is kind of getting annoyed with me because I keep trying to do things for myself and I probably shouldn't. It has been really nice though, my friends in the Relief Society have brought dinners over for us. Eveything is so yummy and it is such a blessing to not have to worry about dinner even though I made sure to stock up on frozen pizzas and "easy dinners" Have I ever told you that Chef Boyardee is my idol?! To tell the absolute truth, I have spent the last 2 days now on the couch doing pretty much NOTHING! It has been kinda nice.

Welcome to the world

Samantha Jean joined us today at 3:40pm, weighing in at 7lbs 12ozs and 19 3/4in! She is absolutely beautiful! Proud parents are Mark and Felicia and big sister Haley. Felicia was in labor for almost 32 hrs and little Samantha just wasn't coming and her heart rate kept dropping so she had to come by c-section. Turns out the cord was wrapped around her neck but both mom and baby are doing great!!!

Lucky #13

So you may be asking what is so lucky about the number 13 right? Well, lets see...Steve's birthday is on the 13th, and oh yeah...our anniversary is on the 13th...TODAY in fact, and this is our 13th anniversary! So, that is what is so lucky about 13. Unfortunately, so many marriages don't make it that far. Too many people give up so easily, and some try their best to no avail. I must admit, it hasn't always been smooth, we have had our share of potholes and I am proud to say we have made it through them all. It is almost hard to believe that 13 years have passed, sometimes it just doesn't seem that long ago! This past May, we finally made our trip to the Temple to be sealed for time and all eternity, and suddenly all of the those "potholes" seemed so distant. I couldn't be happier!
