We're off to DALLAS!!!
In 19 days! I know it is a little early, but I gave Steve his Christmas present last night...We are going to Dallas the end of the month to see his first (live) Cowboys game! He has always wanted to go, and I got an awesome deal for the weekend. So now I pose the question...what is there to do in Dallas? We will be arriving there @ 9 am on Saturday and we want to see some of the "must see" attractions in the area. We don't have a whole lot of the time. I know we have to get some of that Tex-Mex you talked about! Ok, I am not sure which one of us is more excited.

GET OUT! You are going to Dallas???? To a Cowboys game???? How fun. Don't tell my Steve. He will be jealous. When my parents lived there we went every Thanksgiving and my dad always took the guys to the game on Thanksgiving day. He is sad he hasn't been able to go for the last 2 years.
Ok, you MUST eat some Blue Bell ice cream while you are there. I usually eat about 5 gallons myself when I go back. Another thing I get is fried okra from Churchs Fried Chicken. That can be optional for you, but the ice cream is not.
If the fair is going on still you should go there, so much fun and so much yummy food. If you get shot though, just don't say I didn't warn you.
The West End is a fun place, however I haven't been there since I was a teenager so I can't say for sure now.
The Dallas Aquarium is awesome!
You can go to Reunion Tower (the tall building with the big sparkly ball on top) and go to the observation deck.
You two should really go to Trail Dust Steakhouse. I did a post on it as a flasback Friday. Click on the "Flaskback Friday" label on my blog and read about it. You would love it and it is so much fun.
Another fun place to eat is "The Magic Time Machine". You will never find another place like that on earth.
You could go to the Ft. Worth stock exchange. They have a train to ride there and I am sure you could find a rodeo or something of that sort.
I don't know. I will ask my sisters what they think. Whenever I go back I just go to see the people, and eat the ice cream of course.
I hope you have fun. I know you will!!!
Hey, I thought of this too. It is kind of cool.

how long are you going to be there?
We are gonna be there Saturday and Sunday, so not a lot of time, but we wanna do something cool
Ok, I said the Ft. Worth Sock Exchange, but I meant Stock YARDS. I asked my parents for ideas and they said to tell you to go to Ft. Worth for a day. There is a lot to do there and I think you would like it. There is also some new museum there that is supposed to be really good. And my dad said there are several museums all near each othere there.
They also said to make sure you know to go to the Dallas WORLD Aquarium. NOT the Dallas Aquarium at the state fair grounds!
I just found my paper that I wrote stuff down on. The museum is called the Kimball Art Museum and they also said there are beautiful botanical gardens in Ft. Worth. They also said to tour the JFK museum and that you can also tour TX stadium.
Texas stadium...first thing, we will be eating at the traildust saturday night and we are going to Dallas World aquarium. Thanks so much for the suggestions, we are gonna try to squeeze in a few of the other ones also
