What can 955 bucks buy you?

Well, I can think of a lot of things. For starters, our entire trip to Dallas cost less than that, that is almost enough for 2 truck payments, a month's worth of groceries, a new bathtub and the ceramic tile for the bathroom, new countertops, a new couch....this list could go on and on, wanna know what it buys in this instance...

Don't worry, we get to make interest free payments. Sierra decided that even though we had a saxaphone she could have chosen to play, she wanted to play the clarinet instead. AAAHHHH!!! The saxaphone was free, what is wrong with playing sax? Her friends all chose the clarinet, that is what is wrong with the sax. Well, needless to say, we decided to buy a clarinet on ebay instead. We are in a rent-to-own contract, so when we get another one, this one can go back to the store, and there are no penalties. I had no idea how much these things cost. That is what I get for telling her "Honey, I would rather buy you a new clarinet than have you settle for the saxaphone. You won't stick with it if you aren't playing the instrument you want" How could I be so dumb?!

Take me out to the ballgame

Talk about a run of good luck...We went to

Steve's Union Picnic and we won 2 tickets to the Cardinal's game, $45 gift certificate to Dave and Buster's(adult chuck-e-cheese), a box of golf balls, and a new bike for Tyler!! We have been to 6 of his picnics and never won any attendance prizes, this year we won 4!! Not really sure how that happened, but I am not complaining.

So we went to the game, and this is where the complaining comes in. First of all, I should say, I have been to quite a few Cardinal's games and every time I have gone they have lost. I guess that I thought since we won the tickets, they would win the game, I mean, come on now, they did just beat the same team the day before by like 10 points!! Well, they lost, miserably...8-2. Ok, in all honesty, we had a great time...including running from the metrolink (train) to the stadium in a downpour...we were soaked to the bone by the time we got there, but we had fun splashing in the puddles, people must have thought we had lost our minds. This was the first time we had been to the new stadium, which I must admit, is really nice. It seems so much smaller though.

We're off to DALLAS!!!

In 19 days! I know it is a little early, but I gave Steve his Christmas present last night...We are going to Dallas the end of the month to see his first (live) Cowboys game! He has always wanted to go, and I got an awesome deal for the weekend. So now I pose the question...what is there to do in Dallas? We will be arriving there @ 9 am on Saturday and we want to see some of the "must see" attractions in the area. We don't have a whole lot of the time. I know we have to get some of that Tex-Mex you talked about! Ok, I am not sure which one of us is more excited.
