I got a new job!!

Well, kinda. I am still at Harcourt, but I am transferring dept. I will be going to the receiving dept. Which is what I have been wanting to do for a while. I just had to wait for an opening and go through the whole interview process...or so I thought. I put in for the bid last week and by last break I was hearing rumors that it had been offered to a full time person and not any of the temps that had applied for it. Well, since I hadn't heard anything yet...not even had an interview...I thought someone from shipping or returns probably got it. So, needless to say I was starting to get discouraged. 5 minutes before my quittin time bell, the rec. manager came up to me and offered me the job!!!! I was so excited I am sure I made a complete fool of myself!! He said there were a couple other full time applicants but I was most qualified and had the most seniority, so it was an easy decision and there was no need for interviews. I had spent some time back there last summer helping out so I already know most of the job. I will be working 7-3:30 now instead of 7:30-4, which may not seem like a big deal, but now I can still get the kids on the bus and I can get them off the bus instead of them having to go to the neighbors house for a half hour. So no more babysitter!!! Saves us $85 a week!
